Yonaka 2010-2014 Volkswagen Golf Catback Exhaust

2006-2009 Volkswagen Rabbit MK5 (2.5L)

This Yonaka Motorsports catback exhaust system is made of fully polished stainless steel, with 2.5" OD mandrel bended piping, and a single outlet dual 3.5" tip. Expect a quiet, clean, deep hum, without that irritating mid range raspy sound.

Direct bolt-on fit to OEM. All installation hardware is included.

Great sound and first impression	May 18, 2023

Got this exhaust because I wanted something that wouldn't be too loud due to living in a pretty quiet neighbourhood. The sound is perfect and as expected, not too loud but also not terribly quiet. Weld quality looked good upon first glance as well. Gave my car a nice deep sound, and there is no drone at highway speeds. Overall a really good exhaust and I would definitely recommend it.

The reason that I am deducting one star is that the kit does not come with a new exhaust clamp which was shown in the install video. Not a huge deal as they are pretty cheap, and you could just reuse the old one if it isn't too badly rusted, but it would have been a nice thing to know before so I could have prepared and bought one. Otherwise the exhaust is great, and they threw in some freebies as well which was nice to see!

Not as loud as expected. Isn't obnoxiously loud which is a good thing, due to living in a rural area. Nice clean sound, still a head turner. 5 cylinder mk6 golf has a unique sound compared to the 4 cylinder engines. Exhaust tips touch the bumper, with a little bit of trimming it's all good. I'd recommend getting a OE clamp(etc.) prior to ordering as the original was too corroded to reuse. Was an easy evening project, awesome past-time for sure.

I bought and installed the Yonaka catback exhaust on my 2011 VW Golf. Shipping was very fast considering it came from Canada and I live in Kentucky. The product was wrapped very well to protect it during shipping, I didn't see any damages or scuffs on my exhaust pieces, which look really nice. Yonaka was nice enough to throw in some freebies which was a nice surprise. The exhaust system itself is a bit more quite than I'd prefer, but its better to be quite rather than too loud in my opinion. I'm hoping that with the addition of a high flow cat and a flash tune it'll give the car a bit more sound and oomph. My only complaint would be that the exhaust tip is borderline impossible to tighten. I'll have to take that piece to a shop to be cut and then fitted. So for the moment I'm driving without it on because I couldn't tighten it at all. Overall I'll give it a 4/5* rating, with my only real complaint being not able to tighten the tip on. I'm happy with the purchase though.
